Anyone else get a mailer from Tulane asking for contributions to the rebuilding fund? My wife (N'92) and I both got one. We both sent it back, filled out completely, with the contribution amount marked "Other" along with a side note that said we would contribute zero dollars until the engineering decision is reversed.

I think I shredded mine, but I'll look for it. I like Steve's idea also. Good to see others from my engineering class.

I had put down that the school will not get one cent until the decisions to butcher the university have been reversed. Same idea, I suppose. |

That is a great idea. However, I think it would be more effective to pledge an actual dollar amount with an asterisk ("This pledge is contingent upon Tulane reversing the decision to dismantle its engineering school.") This way is quantifiable, whereas putting down zero doesn't promise anything. Let's show the board of administrators how much they will be losing each year. _________________ Michael Lockhart

I haven't yet received mine, since my mail is now arrives in small, long delayed motes.
When I do, I'll be sure to enclose a check made out to the School of Engineering in the amount of 0.00. _________________ W. Stuart Lob

Mine is filled out with a note next to the "other" blank stating that I can not, in good faith, support an institution that calls my degree "not world class." _________________ EE class of 2000 |
