Oh yeah, and for making some dumb comments about women in science.

A vote of no confidence by the faculty was key in the decision.

And in other news, expect the administration to go after the Hullabaloo:

The Harvard president had an agenda for renewal as well. Seems like renewal is biting everyone in the ass.

I don't know. Maybe we will get lucky and Harvard will tap Scotty. I think they probably need to a woman though since it is the women who were up in arms the most and got him tossed. They may also need to tap someone Jewish to prove it wasn't an anti-semitic thing. Then again Jews are pretty non-PC these days among the liberal elite. Maybe a gay Palestinian woman whose significant other is Jewish. That should cover all bases. I wonder how Scott will look after a sex-change operation and a conversion? Marge is cool the way she is. Probably just wishful thinking huh?

Wait until the Newcomb alumni get through with Cowen. He might be able to fullfil that requirement.

Well after reviewing that last issue of Tulanian - it seems that Cowan must have been ghost-writing most of the issue. Is the Hullabuloo making a stink about any of this?

No. As a matter of fact, the Hullabaloo, at least the on-line version (www.thehullabaloo.com) hasn't written a single news story since the first week of classes. I understand that the printer they used is out of business, so paper copies are impossible right now. I also understand that their offices have been flooded. However, it would seem to me that somebody would be able to get one or two news articles up onlilne, particularly in light of the fact that the sports articles are getting up there without any trouble.

Just my two cents.

If you scroll down, they've got some of the articles from the last issue on there (letters to the editor, athletics articles), but none of the main stories. They'll have the article up about the protest soon enough.

The last issue was so anti-administration, I wouldn't be surprised if they force the Hullabaloo to have all articles approved by Lester Lefton before they're allowed to be published. That's especially funny, considering the Hullabaloo has organized countless petitions and written countless articles in favor of dumping Lefton.

The Hullabaloo is a little lame in the best of times for a university of Tulane's size and stature. It doesn't publish very often either. Lefton came from GW. He is probably used to having the Hatchet bust on him three times a week and during the summer too.
