From today's online Times Pic:
Quote: | According to HUD:
-- SUNO will use its money to set up distant-learning opportunities for students still displaced by the storm, as well as housing for returning students and information for rebuilding eastern New Orleans and the Lower 9th Ward.
-- Xavier's grant will help Hollygrove, Gert Town and Treme residents, as well as community-service projects and help in razing and clearing ruined homes.
-- Tulane will develop a design and construction program that will be a center for reconstruction projects. " |
I realize part of this is going to require the School of Architecture's assistance, but wouldn't this also require the Civil Engineering Department? If I am not mistaken isn't that a program Coward is cutting??????
How can we have a design and construction program without ENGINEERS????? |
