Tulane Engineering Cuts

"It is true that the recovery New Orleans is critically dependent on effectively addressing engineering challenges; however, Tulane is a national institution and cannot structure its programs primarily around the needs of a single region "
- Dr. Scott Cowen, president of Tulane University, in a letter to alumni.

As an 11th generation New Orleanian and a 4th generation Tulanian, I'm sorry my city isn't good enough for you. As for myself, I'll be sticking around to help rebuild the city

Sincerely,
Clay Kirby
Mechanical Engineering '06
