I'm watching good ole Bushie on CNN at Kansas State and here's a quote for you:
'To stay competetive in the 21st century, we need more math, science, and engineering programs.'
Dr. Cowen, President Bush understands the value of engineering in the 21st century, who does it seem like you don't? _________________ Clay Kirby

Again, this backs up the concerns of the AAU, of which tulane is a member. I still have not received any response when I brought the AAU report on Engineering and Tech to Cowen's attention. _________________ -- Beth (McArdle) Allen E'85 |

Does anyone know how AAU has responded to the cuts? There was some question as to whether or not Tulane handled faculty dismissal correctly, if curriculum still was acceptable for certain degree areas and they were going to look at all of this in regards to accreditation. Now if Tulane gets any backlash from AAU on any of these points or others which threaten its accreditation you can definitely bet a certain someone is on his way out. |
